The Night No One Sleeps
Since 1941 in the Magical Town of Huamantla in Tlaxcala, the pilgrimage of the image of the Virgin of La Caridad takes place at the stroke of midnight on August 15 through the streets covered with carpets and rugs of sawdust and colorful flowers (approximately 8 km) that ends at dawn; through the elaboration of their rugs and carpets, the artisans of the region give thanks and veneration to the Patron Saint of their city. Carpets and rugs are not the same, carpets are made with flowers and have religious themes, while rugs are made with sawdust and have shapes of frets, flowers, geometric figures, etc. This festivity owes its name to the header of a news published in the newspaper "El Sol de Tlaxcala" on August 25, 1968 by its director Alfonso Neri Castaneira, in which he showed this beautiful tradition. If you are still on vacation and want to know this Magical Town, do not think twice and be part of this fantastic tradition
